Fratelli Silini s.r.l.: Trading of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, waste, and machine tool
Our story started in the early 1950s, in Solbiate Arno, Varese.
That was a period in which an idea to restore economic balance was needed: it was the postwar period.
The Silini brothers, aboard a small tractor, started a business that, over the decades, has led their name to be a reference point in the sector. They set up a wood and coal trading business as suppliers of combustible material for industrial furnaces of neighbouring companies.
Intelligence, initiative, and a spirit of adaptation helped the Silini brothers to expand their offer by implementing an additional service: the collection and disposal of ferrous and non-ferrous material for those companies to which the combustible material was provided.
Over the years, the new generation of the Silini family joined the management. That’s how a natural and progressive generational transition started: the company has expanded up to create a dynamic, structured, and innovative reality.
They embarked on this new adventure with a great entrepreneurial spirit, commitment, and trust.
It has been a few seasons and km aboard of that small old tractor, from the very first steps of a company based on values linked to family and tradition. The lifeblood of F.lli Silini is undoubtedly the continuity that has made possible its enormous development through three different generations.
When tradition turns into innovation
F.lli Silini today is based on a series of specific and closely related steps: collection, disposal, selection, and manufacturing of the recycled material, with a regeneration process that allows its complete remarketing.
The company has followed the natural flow of time, adapting to the changing and evolving needs of a growing market sector.
Its business arises from the collection and transport of processing waste, and it develops through the selection and recovery of the material that is then resold to the most important companies in the sector.
We provide our customers and suppliers with a complete package consisting of various ancillary services.
Today we stock, collect, process, and trade ferrous and non-ferrous materials, including brass, chromium, plastic, nickel, aluminum, paper, cardboard, tires, up to the collection of particular dangerous goods.
Over the years, F.lli Silini has constantly evolved following a specific vision of work: each work phase makes sure that the recovery, regeneration, and enhancement of each material takes place according to precise ethics that respects the environment and nature of the material itself.
This is why we have obtained various certifications that allow us to work in full compliance with the industry standards and in total safety. We are also accredited ISO 14001 and we have obtained the 333/2011 and EU 715/2013 certification, regulations that establish the standards according to which scrap iron, steel, aluminum, copper, and related alloys are no longer considered waste and can be therefore remarketed.
We work ethically and then market material that returns to being in the form of raw material, a regeneration process that takes place through advanced machinery and technologies.
